As well the main BHS-organised programme of activities, there are a host of other events for all tastes and ages organised by BHS sub-groups, Hamara and Jalsa Club, whilst Ramayana devotees can come along for regular prayer sessions every Monday.
A host of weekly activities on offer for Hindu women in Basingstoke
The BHS Hamara Club is open to Indian women of all ages from Basingstoke’s Hindu Community. We run a varied agenda of activities every week. Activities can include:
- Group Pranayam yoga classes
- Basic yoga classes
- Keep fit classes
- Cookery demonstrations
- Craft sessions
Club meetings take place every Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm at the Carnival Hall.

Jalsa means enjoyment, masti, and fun – that’s exactly what our Jalsa Club brings you. The club organises a host of regular social events, such as BBQs. The emphasis is always on bringing the community together to enjoy good food and have fun with family and friends.
BHS Sports Club

The Basingstoke Hindu Society Sports Club organises various team sports for its members. This includes Table Tennis, Cricket, Football and Badminton for all ages. We are always looking for new players so why come enjoy the fitness fun.
